Kindergarten & Transitional Kindergarten
Enrollment for 2023-24

If you have a new, incoming Kindergarten or TK age student, the pre-enrollment process will begin on March 1, 2023.

Kindergarten & TK Registration Flyer (Bilingüe)

Kindergarten Eligibility:  Children who are 5 years old by September 1st of the year of enrollment will be eligible to enroll in Kindergarten.

TK Eligibility: Age eligibility for TK will expand each year over four years to eventually include all four year-old children. 

• 2022-23: Children who turn 5 between September 2 - February 2, 2023
• 2023-24: Children who turn 5 between September 2 - April 2, 2024
• 2024-25: Children who turn 5 between September 2 - June 2, 2023
• 2025-26 and beyond: Children who turn 5 between September 2 - September 1, 2026 (and each year thereafter)
  
  

If your child is currently enrolled in TK in VUSD, your child will not need to complete the pre-registration process, as they are already enrolled and have an Aeries profile.  You will only need to complete the data confirmation process in July.

If your child attends a VUSD school and you move, please inform the school of your new address within 30 days. If you want your child to remain at the same school, you may need to apply for a transfer.
