New Students

RE-REGISTER/RETURNING STUDENT

Please complete the following steps if your student will be continuing their education at Rancho MInerva Middle School. You must log into your Parent Portal account to complete this process. If you cannot access your account, please contact our school office at 760-631-4500. This process will allow parents to verify student data, update contact information, acknowledge/review critical district information and policies and finally print your child's emergency card.


STEP 1: Complete the re-registration process by logging into the Parent Portal.

  • Please print Student Emergency Card upon completion.

STEP 2:

  • Take signed Student Emergency Card to school during your designated Registration Day.

Pre-Enrollment Steps

Please complete the following steps to pre-enroll your student if they have not attended a school in VUSD.

You can only pre-enroll your child at their VUSD school of residence.

Information on inter- and intra-district transfers.


STEP 1: Complete the Aeries AIR- Online Student Registration application.
Pre-Enroll your student at their school of residence.

  • After you finish and submit your application, you will receive an Enrollment Confirmation. Please wait for our Registrar, Mrs. Orozco, to contact you to set up an appointment.

STEP 2: To your appointment bring:

  • Bring bring a governement-issued form of identification of enrolling parent, immunization records, birth verification and proof of residency to the school. You should also bring any of the following that apply: student's current IEP or 504 Plan, restraining order or any court documents.
  • You will receive your Parent Portal account by email and any additional information will be provided by the school.

What is McKinney-Vento?

The McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act authorizes the federal Education for Homeless Children and Youth (EHCY) Program and is the primary piece of federal legislation related to the education of children and youth experiencing homelessness. It was reauthorized in December 2015 by Title IX, Part A, of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).
