Born in San Diego, CA, I've moved all over Southern California. I've worked at Etiwanda High School as an English teacher for the past eight years. In that time, I taught AVID, Honors and AP English, and I coached track and field. I have been lucky to coach two CIF state finalist, and work with the most amazing students and athletes in the meantime. I went on to earn my PhD in Higher Education from Claremont Graduate University with a focus on bridging the gap between secondary teachers and teacher education professionals. Now, I begin the next chapter in San Diego with my wife and 18-month old son.
