Christina DeSanto began her Principalship at RMMS in 2019. Since her tenure began, the culture at RMMS has become one of kindness, joy, and relationship building. Her focus has been the creation of a Career Pathways campus. RMMS is one of the premier Career Pathways campuses in SD County and many school districts visit our labs to see how to make it happen at their sites.
Christina has been in the middle school world since 1997, serving as a middle school teacher (teaching math, science, english, yearbook, ASB, and ELD) at King Middle School and Chavez Middle School in Oceanside as well as an Assistant Principal at King Middle School for 5 years before moving to VUSD.
Being the Principal at RMMS is one of the greatest adventures so far! It's our scholars, families, and staff that make RMMS such a special place.
Assistant Principal (A-L)
Born in San Diego, CA, I've moved all over Southern California. I've worked at Etiwanda High School as an English teacher for the past eight years. In that time, I taught AVID, Honors and AP English, and I coached track and field. I have been lucky to coach two CIF state finalist, and work with the most amazing students and athletes in the meantime. I went on to earn my PhD in Higher Education from Claremont Graduate University with a focus on bridging the gap between secondary teachers and teacher education professionals. Now, I begin the next chapter in San Diego with my wife and 18-month old son.
Assistant Principal (M-Z)

I believe that every child deserves to be in a school where they feel safe, supported, and challenged. I am eager to work with the administration, teachers, and families to create a school community where all students can thrive. I am particularly passionate about building relationships with students and families. I believe that strong relationships are essential for student success. I am also committed to providing teachers with the support they need to be effective educators. I am excited to get started and to work with all of you to make Rancho Minerva Middle School a great place to learn and grow.
