Christina DeSanto has one focus - to give every scholar the best experience ever! She has spent most of her 30 years in education working with middle school scholars - so it's obvious - middle schoolers are her favorites! She is a passionate leader who always has scholars in the center of every decision.
She grew up in Rockville, Maryland, just outside Washington DC. She earned her bachelor's degree in Communications from Salisbury University and her master's degree in Education from the University of Texas, Arlington. Most of her family lives in Vermont and the suburban DC area.
She began her teaching career in the Dallas Public School system (1993-1997), moved to Oceanside USD, working at King Middle School and Chavez Middle School (1998-2013), and now is part of the Vista USD family. She taught ELD, ELA, Math, Science, and was the ASB and Yearbook advisor for many years. She was honored as the CLMS Middle School Teacher of the Year in 2006. She served as Assistant Principal at King Middle School in Oceanside USD for 5 years before becoming the Inspired Principal of RMMS. In 2021-2022, she was honored with the VUSD Golden Apple Award as Administrator of the Year.
